Heathcote park raceway was host to the growing Readies 4×4 Mania this weekend. 24 Winch Challenge vehicles made up 12 two car teams along with a handful of mud racers for the saturday night mud racing. The main event on Saturday included extreme technical terrain through a deep creek bed which had vehicles pirouetting on all angles, some landing on there tyres other landing on their roofs. Man made mud racing courses tested the winch challenge trucks against the dedicated mud racing machines under lights on Saturday night. There was also a jet car display and a burnout competition for the hundreds of spectators. Sunday was a mix of mud racing and rally. It was a crazy weekend of good old fashioned fun and entertainment. The word from competitors was that the technical courses were a great challenge and well laid out. Competitors were certainly tested to there limit. Winners for the weekend were: Mitch Gould and Justin Colby with Cam Guy and Steve Fowler.
