2018 Sunraysia 400 Race Report


Jack Rhodes and David Pullino have taken the outright win at this weekends Mildura Rural City Council ARB Sunraysia 400, round 2 of the ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship in the #91 Rhodes Racing Jimco. Rhodes finished in an overall time of 3hr 33min 51sec, 5min 56sec ahead of the #120 Martin Motorsport Jimco of Brent Martin and Jimmy Boyle in second and 12min 20sec in front of the #410 R&J Batteries Geiser Truck of Greg Gartner and Jamie Jennings in third outright.

Running a split race format similar to Griffith, Tanner James piloted his #1093 Class 10 Alumicraft to fourth outright and the race 1 win on Saturday, ahead of classmate Dean Meginley & Dean Demarco in the #1087 Tatum. Rounding out Saturdays podium was the #697 CanAm Maverick X3 of Phil Lovett and Paul Gunther.

Keera Station owner, Ivan Robertson with daughter Laura Robertson in the navigators seat took sixth outright and fourth in Sundays race between the Unlimited, Class 1 and Class 4 trucks. It was the teams first race since the rollover at Finke in 2016 and they put pre-race engine dramas behind them when they met the green to post consistently quick lap times in the #471 Mickey Thompson tyred Micklefab Raptor TT.
