In the other half of the draw the honours were split three ways between Jarrod Keyte, Driver Niihori and Peter Carr.
While in the SXS Australian Championship, Cody Crocker took 3 wins from 3 starts in his #619 Polaris Australia RZR Turbo. In the second SXS grouping, debutant Jackson Evans set a cracking pace out of the box to win the first heat, before Nathan Weissel wound up the wick to win the final two races.
Sunday’s racing was spread over four more heats and it was Nathan Weissel who powered home to win round 5 of the SXS Australian Championship at Shepparton. Cody Crocker finished second with 36 points, just 2 behind Weissel after dnf’ing the final race. Crockers long time navigator Greg Foletta made a great SXS debut behind the wheel. Finishing third with 32 points.
Nathan Weissel picked up a bonus $500 thanks to Selby Acoustics for posting the quickest lap time of the weekend, a 1:59.9.
