The Minespec Parts LCMP 325 held over the weekend at Landcruiser Mountain Park was the opening round of the 2015 Nitto Aust4 Racing Series. Competitors enjoyed clear blue skies, a cold biting wind and muddy conditions to test their endurance.
A short prologue stage allowed great viewing for the spectators before the main race headed off into the forest loop. The harsh conditions and sprint like pace cut the teams down to less than a third of the original starters with mechanical issues and the slippery conditions also caused a few rollovers.
A final shootout with 2 vehicles side by side in a reverse direction on the prologue track finished off the days racing.
Ben Napier took out the Pro Class win in his Penhall Ultra4 fresh off the boat from the USA, while Remy Lowson won the Pro Lite class.
Jamie Wilson grabbed Mod Class and Alex Bowly aced Stock Class
Andrew Spedding picked up Cams Class and in the UTV Class Michael Dolan did the fastest lap and most amount of laps of the event.
