The inaugural Explore Australia Expo held at Melbourne Showgrounds on June 20-22, has been hailed a huge success by exhibitors, and the 23,000 strong visitors to the show.

Australia’s first ever all-encompassing adventure expo provided consumers with a weekend of non-stop action, demonstrations, seminars and workshops and afforded visitors a truly interactive experience with the opportunity to spy, try and buy.

Over 200 exhibitors presented consumers with the latest products, services, and destinations for 4WD, touring, fishing and adventure with reporting a higher than normal conversion rate for sales.

Event Organiser, Play Hard Media’s Simon Christie was thrilled with the exhibitor feedback following the show.

“The Explore Australia Expo definitely hit its target market,” Christie said. “Exhibitor feedback was that the quality of visitor resulted in higher than normal conversion rates for sales.

“Demonstrations on the Adventure Track have never been so regular, diverse or entertaining and the Seminar Hub was a huge success with many presentations filling the seated area. The level of content and the professional delivery was unequalled.

“We are also extremely proud of our community initiatives,” Christie continued  “We had seven 4WD clubs in the Opposite Lock Club Corner and the Beyond Blue Monster Truck, Rowan was another star attraction, delivering the important messages of the Beyond Blue mental health organisation.

“Scout City saw 900 sqm occupied by hundreds of Scouts Victoria members over the weekend with displays, adventure activities and expert outdoors advice on offer.

“The Sunday crowd for the Dirt Wars Super Show was the biggest ever crowd I have seen at a show or expo for this type of display,” Christie added.

ARB National Sales and Marketing Manager Matt Frost praised the inaugural Explore Australia Expo and said the result was beyond their expectation.

“The Explore Australia Expo is the first new show ARB has attended in many years, and the result was well beyond our expectations,” said Frost.

“It was very clear to our team that the people behind the expo are very passionate about the 4WD industry, and I think we have a tremendous platform to build on with this show.”
