The Eagle Powersports team completed suspension testing on their two Polaris RZR 1000s on the weekend as final preparations are made for their three car assault on the Finke Desert Race. In what has been a huge team effort by the staff at Eagle, they have also completed full race preparations for the Polaris Australia RZR of Australasian Rally Champion Cody Crocker who also joined them in Tamworth to put his stamp of approval on his race unit in what will be his debut off road race with long time rally co-driver Greg Foletta.
“The set up for Off road is a little different to the way we run them in the Australian Rally Championship and we knew this from our experience running both series last year. However this is a bit new for Cody, but being the pro he is he soon settled in and showed his skill with the off road based RZR1000 for Finke and the help we had from Shane Hardiman in setting up the Fox Shocks was also invaluable for the weekend” said team owner Phil Swindale.
The team load up their three race units early next week and make the journey out and look forward to meeting the challenge of Finke. And if you are out at Alice Springs for the race, all three teams will be more than happy to discuss racing RZRs so don’t be afraid to seek them out and say hi.
