AORC ANNOUNCES RETURN OF OFFICIAL TYRE PARTNER BFGOODRICH TIRES

BFG AORC Official Tyre Partner for 2014

The Australian Off Road Championship has confirmed internationally acclaimed tyre manufacturer, BFGoodrich Tires, will return as the official tyre partner of the 2014 Championship.

With no restrictions on the choice of tyre manufacturer that the Australian Off Road Championship competitors can run, it was BFGoodrich Tires that were the pick of the winners in 2013. The impressive performance of BFGoodrich Tires meant that no other tyre manufacturer stood on the top step of the podium last year.

Championship winner Shannon Rentsch, second-placed Hayden Bentley, and third-placed Matt Hanson all chose to run BFGoodrich Tires throughout the 2013 Australian Off Road Championship.

As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high performance off-road tyres, BFGoodrich Tires has an impressive track record of motorsport success. With a long-standing record of wins at the Baja 1000 in the USA, the Dakar Rally, World Rally Championship, and at Pikes Peak, the AORC is proud to continue its partnership with a brand that is held in such high regard within the motorsport community.

BFGoodrich Tires Managing Director, Cedric Binoit: “BFGoodrich Tires is proud to continue as a key partner with the Australian Off Road Championship in 2014.

“The Championship is rapidly growing; with the exposure and reach offered it was an easy decision for us to be involved. The AORC is also the perfect place for our partners to put our BFGoodrich Tires to the ultimate test!” added Mr Binoit.

“Years of development go into the design of all BFGoodrich Tires products, with lessons learned from engineering sessions at proving grounds and tracks, plus hundreds of off-road races around the world through our motorsport partnerships.

“What we learn in off-road racing including the AORC, our engineers use to create tyres that give even the most serious off roader what they are looking for – driving pleasure, strong sensations or extreme adventures,” concluded Mr Binoit.

As a company focussed on maximum performance including both durability and speed, the AORC believes BFGoodrich Tires is the perfect partner for the Championship.

The AORC will continue to help showcase the tyre company’s performance capabilities as the Championship travels to some of the most iconic Australian landscapes and extreme conditions.
