Mitch Van Vliet won the quad division of the Tatts Finke Desert Race held on the weekend in a time of 5hr 34min 54sec on his #992 Yamaha YFZ450. Can Am Rider, #915 Clint Sheridan from Tasmania was the quickest down to Finke on Sunday, but had to settle for second after Mitch Van Vliet put in a blistering run home on Monday. Mitch’s younger brother #993 Harry Van Vliet, also on a Yamaha YFZ450 was third in a time of 5hr 58min 26sec.
