Rain over the previous weeks and 10 mm the day before the event meant it was never going to be a dry event but with Saturday dawning fine and clear, the blue skies and sunshine at least made getting to the tracks a less hazardous procedure.
The rocky gullies of Scenic Rim Adventure Park were the perfect setting in the wet conditions as the tracks remained consistent over the entire weekend.
A few new competitors joined the competition and performed very well.
There were only a few rollovers in Outlaw class thanks to the tracks being run in the gullies although there were a number of near misses and quite a lot of mechanical breakages across all the classes.
Trophy Class was taken out by team Mudrat car 142, Modified Class was won by team 216, Challenge Class was won by team Rellow Racing car 15 and Outlaw Class was grabbed by team Rock Racing 4×4 car 319.
Keep a look out for the full report coming soon to Dirtcomp Magazine and check out the action in person on Sept 14 & 15 at Landcruiser Mountain Park for the third and final round.
