Rumble In The Rain

Rumble In The Rocks

We might have to rename the event “Rumble in the Rain” … The previous round of Rumble on the Rocks was inundated with rain and this round was looking like it was heading the same way.

Rain on Friday soaked everything but at least the rain stayed away on Saturday.

David Burton-Bradley was having an awesome run all weekend taking out the qualifying stage then continuing to dominate the other stages.

Brett Thorpe back flipped the Jeep at the top waterfall on Cals Creek while Roger Edols put the Willys upside down at the bottom of Cals on another waterfall, luckily no one was hurt in either roll but Thorpe’s jeep was too damaged to continue.

Just as the afternoons stage finished the rain started making the drive back to camp rather exciting.

Sunday mornings stage started in light rain at the very top end of the park and ended right back at camp giving quite a few kilometres of rock, boulders and waterfalls to tackle with BB again blitzing the field.
