Tough Tracks Season Opener


Tough Tracks Challenge Round 1 - 2013

After heavy rain at Janowen Hills 4WD Park forced the postponement of round one, The 2013 Tough Tracks 4×4 Challenge finally got under way amidst clear blue skies and crisp mornings.

The tracks are now timed to sort out the front runners from each others allowing the Trophy Class to ease up on the severity of its track to hopefully encourage more new competitors to join in.

New Competitor Jemma Grant with experienced Navi Grant Walker were impressive with first track and second track wins in her first ever event in her GQ shorty in Trophy Class, her Third track fourth place was still good enough for her to take the series lead in the overall score in her class.

The outlaw class has continued to grow with a couple more Buggies joining the ranks, A few competitors fresh from their Tuff Truck runs entered the event to boost the high class of driving evident in this Queensland based event.

Challenge Class and Mod Class continued on with its seasoned competitors to round out a varied field of vehicles.

With a new female competitor leading Trophy Class, a Tie for the lead in Modified Class, 5 point difference in Challenge Class and 6 points in Outlaw Class its shaping up to be an exciting year.
